Only one I can think of is Neneh Cherry and youssou n'dour - Seven Seconds away - spine chilling...

Although man singing in background and she's not hindu - so prob not this one... but I likes it :D

I am pretty surprised it was dated 2002, it seems longer ago!

Anyhoo, thus encouraged, how about this:  An Indian/Asian/Hindu woman in a song of the 60's or 70's (decade flexible  ;)) Might have been called Govinda (NOT the Kula Shaker song).  -Go Gorgeous!!!!!  :D:D:D
