They are being really strict.  20 kilos per suitcase and only 1 piece of hand luggage per person which must be 5 kilos or under.
Coming back at Dalaman we were in the queue for 1 hour whilst rows were going on with people whose luggage was over weight.  The charge was £12.00 per kilos  for all items over weight.  There was an older couple who went off to buy a bag for hand luggage and came back, they were still 3 1/2 kilos over with the hand luggage and 5 kilos with there suitcases and they had to pay up.   So you beware!!

They were the same last year Jacqui, thats why I would never use them again, we ended up in 3 queues because they were over booking and charging every last penny they could get, we even had a plantpot of a rep telling us we were there one night too early and to come back the next day,he was even drawing pictures of clocks to try and explain. he was a right whoppa, we needed a holiday when we got home.

Well it all equals out in the end, the top 3 UK to Dalaman providers (Fly Thomas Cook, Onur, Easyjet) have nothing to choose between them, they are all out to charge you for the last kilo. When I remember the outrageous weights I brought into Dalaman when I was living there, and indeed out when we came back, I'm very pleased I lived there in those five years and not the next.

We got done for 2kg on Easyjet last year Moe, I held the queue up for 15-20 minutes pretending not to understand, arguing the point etc and they were happy for the queue not to move. I paid £18 for that 2kg but I weigh everything accurately and we were about 14kg over so hard luck Stelios lol

My tip for Easyjet is to get as much as you can physically carry into your hand luggage - they don't check that normally and have no specific limit for it either, as long as you can lift it into the overhead lockers.

Hi Pete, we are flying out on 18th august, for my sons wedding, for 3 weeks, are you out then?
Thanks for the tips Keith, might wear my wedding hat on the plane to save luggage space.  ;)

You were extremely lucky, we came back last week, all hand baggage was weighed both going to and coming back.  Going to my husband's bag was 5.6 kilos and he was told to put something into his suitcase or transfer it to my bag.
Coming back we were fine, but I cannot tell you the amount of people that were not fine, and the T.C. reps were working overtime to sort out the problems.  :o

Can someone please help me with this little bit of confusion! I booked hubby a flight with TC from Dalaman to Gatwick so he knew he had a seat on the same flight as me to come hone as he was not sure when he would be able to fly out.I booked and paid for 20 kilo of luggage for him and am now about to book his outward flight, do I need to pay again for another 20 kilos of luggage from Gatwick or does his Dalaman flight cover him for his outward flight? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am very confused!
