I have sent numerous emails and made phonecalls to Santander. Constantly passed from pillar to post and then cut off! its sooooo frustrating. However I was very happy to discover that 8 out of my 12 flights were actually booked on my tescos visa card, and I have now rang them who told me to put it in writing. I have printed off the front page from the KTHY website and attached this to my tickets to try and get refund. I am just waiting for them to come back to me regarding the Atlas jet website, which states replacement flights are available!!!! I will print off the flight arrivals for Manchester airport, and the flight departures from Dalaman airport as proof that the flight this saturday is no more....what more can we do!!  I am going to see how I get on with the visa credit card flights first, then fight for the debit card ones (which were just for three of us on July 24th to Dalaman.)  Thanks for advice....any further advice appreciated..

Just thought I'd let other travllers know that we have received our refund for our flights that were booked for the 21st August. Wouldve got it sooner but we were away until the 6th September. Once I signed a form to say we didnt fly( with KTHY that is) and returned it on the 8th- the refund was issued within 5 working days! That was Virgin by the way.

Sue mac have you tried to see a manager in one of their branches as I believe Santander call centres/customer services are in India - I got so frustrated over another matter I cancelled all my accounts with them 2 years ago.  If you went to see a manager take with you all the legal information about on section 75 paying by credit card.  If the card you used was only a debit card not sure if you would be covered or not.  I had refunds in regards flights without any problem with Capital One Credit Card.

Just want to inform all......sent my claim forms off to Santander on Saturday and....oh the joy....ALL MONEY RECREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT THIS MORNING! Faith in Santander fully restored...! I did have to admit, a lot of my personal ranting was via their customer serviced dept via email...and each one was answered personally and courteously. Just waiting on the TESCO mastercard refunds now....which have already been refunding to friends, so shouldnt be a problem there! happy days....

We had our return flight cancelled in July and also we had booked our flights for sept/Oct so we lost these as well.
When we came back july I contacted Tesco/Matercard and they sent me the forms, which I filled in and sent back. I was telephoned a few days later and told that I could only claim for the july flight at present and could claim for the others after the flight dates had passed. They offered to deal with the 1 flight straight away and then they would send out another set of forms for the other moneys.
I told them to wait until October and deal with them all together and they agreed.
I came back last Tuesday, I phoned them to remind them but need'nt have bothered as they said it was in the diary and was already being dealt with.
Checked my account today and found a full refund for all the missed flights. Well done Tesco/Mastercard.
