Onur flight changes - again
« on: July 12, 2010, 16:55:05 PM »
so for the third time for this booking - our flight times have changed yet again.  Booked over a year ago, one set of times, November another set of times, today one week before flying - another set of times.  I Haven't received tickets so have been chasing and chasing, no information nada.  Now all the sudden - yup !! new times.  Instead of a nice early morning flight, we have a very late flight, arriving in Dalaman at 02.40 the morning after we should have arrived.  Anyone booked on the OHY 386 Stansted to dalaman on Tuesday 20th - be warned !

Just got a letter from Thomson today changing our flight in a couple of weeks.  Only a slight change an hour earlier for both flights so not so bad for us.

The reason I would never ever book with Onur again, no matter how cheap they are

It's always going to happen when you book so far in advance I'm afraid. Onur/H4U etc etc just sell the idea of a flight in 12 months time and take your money. Then when it gets closer to the actual flight they 'consolidate' them and many early bookings have their flights altered.

Brilliant way to save money if you can go at the drop of a hat (retired people for example) but for those who have to book the fortnight off work this can be a nightmare.

I suppose the old saying 'You pay your money and take your chance' should be the Onur motto emblazoned across their planes.

not many operators fly from Stansted either......which restricts your options further. :(

Pookie,
Ours has changed 3 times as well. from Newcastle on the 23rd. Originally 10:00, then brought forward to 08:30, then a third change to 08:20 (10mins earlier!!!!), fortunately we benefit.

Five years ago we got to Dalaman Airport and the flight had been cancelled and we were told it would be three days for the next flight!!!  We were lucky we had our Villa to go back to.  I would not trust this Airline again.:-\

In Bodrum 3 years ago we received a text from our Goldtrail Rep telling us the return flight time with Onur Air had been changed whilst we were in resort-she gave us the new pick up times etc... when wearrived at the airport our flight had gone - the admin staff in Bodrum had got Birmingham and Bristol mixed up - we ended up with a 14 hour delay - and no compensation!

Well that's Goldtrails fault not Onur Airs. No wonder they've gone bust.
