www.goldtrail.co.uk.

If you have booked flights or holidays with this company, look at their website. Says gone into administration.

Oh dear. I think it's been on the cards a while though. I hope anyone who has booked with them gets their money back or another flight/holiday.

Goldtrail Holidays has gone into administration with an estimated 16,000 people overseas.
CAA head of Atol licensing Andy Cohen confirmed the Turkey specialist had failed at about 18.00hrs on Friday evening, but said the authority was still "in the dark on detail".
"It went into administration only an hour ago and I came straight back into work," he told Travel Weekly. "We are requesting information as we speak."
Cohen said the failure was not on the scale of XL Leisure Group which collapsed in September 2008 leaving 60,000 holidaymakers overseas.
"We will be able to deal with this one in-house," he confirmed.
Speculation had been rife for some time that Goldtrail could be experiencing difficulties, but even Cohen, who only this month predicted a spate of failures this year, "particularly of operators to the Eastern Med", said the timing of company's demise had been "a shock for all of us".

At about 5pm last night, I was having a look on their website, trying to find a cheapie for end of August. Couldn't believe what I found.
4 adults, from Manchester, 2 weeks B & B in Ovacick. Can't remember the hotel. The total was £388 ! total. I was so tempted to book it, I even entered all the details and got to final payment page.
Glad I didn't.

Our group of 7 adults were more or less ready to walk through the door at 03.40 when my brother rang and said Goldtrail had gone bust.
He's a bit of a joker, but he insisted i had a look at the news. Nothing mentioned on BBC but it was on Sky......we were driving to Birmingham from Cardiff for our flight so glad he rang us before we had set out for the drive
We have managed to find flights from Bristol 20.45 tonight £139 with Thomsons.
Just waiting for confirmation from Cenk for our transfer and villa...so fingers crossed...we may manage to get to Calis...

We are the lucky ones my thoughts are
with all the other people who are no so lucky as us, probably sat in the airport with the children

Do goldtrail cover any other companies?  After my huge fiasco with kthy, I have now received the following email:

"Dear Mrs Julie Veale,

Some flights from Turkey have been disrupted due to the failure of a company called Goldtrail Holidays.

We will be contacting you in priority order and will arrange alternative flights for you, subject to availability. We appreciate this is a worrying situation for you but please bear with us and we will contact you as soon as we possibly can to assist you find an alternative flight or arrange a refund.

If we cannot find alternative flights for you, we will try to find an alternative holiday for you.

If we cannot find a suitable holiday, we will arrange a refund for you.

Your booking included supplier protection.

1.       In  the event that we arrange an alternative flight for you to replace your Goldtrail flight, you will need to pay the cost of the new flight, but we will arrange a refund for your original flight and will process your refund application with our insurers within 8-12 weeks.

2.       If we are unable to find you a suitable alternative flight, we will process a full refund for your holiday which you will receive within 8-12 weeks.

Please do not contact your credit card company for a refund. As your booking included supplier protection, your credit card company will not provide you with a refund.

We apologise for any disruption this situation may have caused to you, but please rest assured we will do everything we can to make alternative arrangements for you.

Kind Regards,

Lowcostholidays.com"

I'm really panicking as I'm pretty sure I haven't booked any flights with goldtrail.  So why have they emailed me?  Is it a standard thing - I have booked with them in the past?
