Why Calis?--Why Turkey?

Woke up this morning with very limited hearing in my right ear. I didn't think I wouldn't be renewing my acquaintance with The Esnaf Hospital quite so soon.
Caught the 8am Belidiye Bus--(see related post about this service) outside the Oykun Hotel ----8.20am-- arrived at Tourist Reception at the Hospital entrance..
Explained symptoms---examination by ENT Specialist-Dr Ahmet Kabay(same doctor that examined my daughter a few days earlier).
Injection of anti-inflammatory administered 5 minutes after consultation  with Dr Kabay---diagnosis was Otitis because of diving (snorkel and diving into pool)---can also occur scuba diving---Take care.
I am accompanied the whole time with an assigned interpreter who explained every step.
I was dispatched to the Chemist across from the Hospital at 8.55am.
The chemist explained again about anti-biotic course and two sets of drops.
Bodyswerved smiling taxi-driver offering 24 lira return to Calis.
Sat at the front in the Yakamuz Restaurant with Cay and water----Belidiye Bus across from Restaurant 9.40am.
Returned to the Oykun for its usual excellent breakfast at 10am.

My hearing quickly returned--not completely --but more comfortable. That allowed me to join some of my oldest friends in Calis and of course family, for a leisurely lunch at the Harem Restaurant.
I was even able to hear the thunderstorm in near stereophonic sound.
The humidity seems to have been cleared and the sun is again shining.

Again I hope this helps anyone who has similar symptoms or has to seek medical assistance here.

Hi Brian & Bernadette,

Reading your post about your daughters fall and Brian's ear infection has finally prompted me to join the forum instead of just scrolling through.
Steve and I hope that your daughter is fully recovered and that you all enjoy what is left of your holiday, also hope the ear infection has cleared up.
I know you mention how kind the staff and other guests at the Oykun have been, but I will always remember how kind you both were last year when I became unwell.

Hope to see you again
Diane & Steve
