Just read about this, apparently his wife has hired a Turkish lawyer, as the equipment he was strapped in with snapped.  It said he had been parasailing before on previous holidays, so I hope he had taken out Dangerous Sport Insurance.

I have thought about his daughter and his son, both grown up, but I was thinking of his wife.
He was 50 years old and probably had a lot of commitments in life, without insurance, the future for his wife will be difficult to say the least.

If he went with a reputable company then they should have covered his insurance. As it stands it looks like the wife will be claiming from them anyway as allegedly the harness was damaged by it's constant exposure to the elements and someone saw the operators trying to hide it after the accident. I hope they had liability cover for her sake.

Whatever the outcome is I'm sure the daughter will never really recover from losing her father in such a way.
