Honest Staff At Dawn Beach
« on: August 03, 2010, 23:20:32 PM »
A friend of ours called into the Dawn Beach Bar last week for a beer before getting the dolmus back to our place, just before he got off the dolmus he noticed his wallet was missing and was convinced he'd lost it on the bus.
He went into fethiye to report it to the police then came home and rang the bank to cancel his cards. This happened about 3pm.
The wallet also contained quite alot of Sterling and Lira.
Later that night about 8pm my husband and his friend decided to go to Dawn Beach just to see if anyone had handed in the wallet.
As they walked in one of the waiters recognised our friend and said we have your wallet behind the bar, he had found it on the floor at the table he'd sat at.
Everything was intact and nothing had been touched.
What a lovely suprise and just shows how honest the staff are at Dawn Beach.

Superb stuff, well done Dawn Beach guys. This is the sort of thing that really does Turkey justice and is quite common.

Another one of the reasons we Love and return time after time to Turkey/calis!
This has happened to us a few times. One being on Kalkan, daughter lost her bag, Inc purse lira and sterling, and her mobile phone. We thought we had left it in a restaurant and asked around, locals were quite offended when I asked them had they found it, as if to say we wouldn't keep it, we would have given it you back?
We asked by chance at hotel bar next night and there it was, nothing at all missing!!!
Brilliant!  :)

Well done indeed but no surprise.

I think Ive said on here before that I left a money bag (yes one of those !) somewhere and did realise until much later. I was told not to worry because if a Turkish person had found it I was sure to get it back. Sure enough I did, completely intact.

Hi i am Busy Bees other half. Echo and i shared a football bet last season on a Saturday. One result didnt go our way, so i left and didnt bump into Echo for a couple of weeks,i had forgot all about the bet asuming we had lost, only for him to hand over 100 lr. He could have kept it, i would never have brought the subject up. The guys there arnt making a fortune, and for me im not surprised about the wallet.

I am a bit confused by the Dawn Beach nowadays. When people say about it I assume they mean the one on the left as you walk down bridge street towards the sea - what is the one on the right at the side of the Dawn Beach Hotel called? And is Echo at the one on the left still? Who is at the one on the right?

 :)

yes that's right Eco's Dawn Beach on the left going down and on the right hand side is Dawn Beach Brothers bar, they were the two waiters that worked with Eco last year and now set themselves up in their own bar and doing ok.
Lovely bar and two lovely people

Patty
