Hiya
Welcome to the forum.
Remember to make good use of the search facility for answers to the many questions you will have, other than that just ask and someone will get back to you.
Congratulations on your purchase, Lissa Links looks lovely

Hello,

We have also bought on Lissa Links, No.4. Where about's do you live in the South-east, we are also from there, Brighton.

Hope to meet you all sometime. We are still debating when to go out.

Dippey, thanks for all the pics, etc, much appreciated. Seems I'm letting you do all the donkey work, not as forthcoming as you.

Tim and Maria

Hi SarahColin,

Some of the paper works is done. We have been to the notary, signed over our power of attorney, got our tax number, and opened up a bank account.

We still have to get a will written up, house insurances etc, and the utilities. Then buy the furniture. Still alot to do.

We are not booking any flights yet, as my husband will have to have time off from work unpaid. We don't really want a wasted trip, so we shall just have to have a whirlwind week when the property is ready.

We have 4 children, ages are 21, 18, 15 and 11. I think it will only be the 3 girls that come out with us, the 21 year old is boy and won't entertain us.

Maybe we can meet sometime, seems a bit forward, but maybe once you've been out,we can have a chat.

Dippey is very good, source of information.

Don't know what I would have done without this site, when you read all the chat and information you really don't feel that you are going it alone. I don't want it to be a totally British area, but it's nice to know that others have been successfull and can help us new ones along, and in time maybe we maybe able to help them.

Thanks to everyone.

I haven't phrased that very well. I know there is a very strong British contingent there, we have visited. What I liked about Fethiye and Calis is that there is still a strong Turkish feel, but it's also nice to know that there are British people there too, and yes I know in time there will be more of us, and other nationalities. I don't mind at all. :-\
