Not sure what the 3 rates are now, we looked into it and were told unless you have a business like an hotel you would be worse off on 3 rates. Most people have still got the old meter which shows 3 rates but are charged at one rate this changed when Aydem took over the electric. They put most people on one rate and you had to apply to go back on 3 rates

Dave, there are 3 domestic rates 0600-1700 =0,165454  1700-2200=0,282937  2200-0600=0,080965 the rate you have stated is for outside(lighting pool hosepipes etc) or the builders rate, are the bills in your name? if they are in your name you need to speak to the tedas and soon, if not you are still paying the builders rate for domestic usage.

I have lived in my villa for nearly 6 years and have always had the 3 rates, cheapest after 10 p.m., so alwaysd that,s when the washing goes on, thoght the 1 rate was ,cos they were ast bilders rate whic h is loads more expensive.  Even with compter on all day as v and 2 pmps for pond, and fridge etc, my bill is always nder 50tl

We were on 3 rates since 2004 then when Aydem took over mine and lots of others I know where put on the single tarrif, on our bill it still shows 3 rates, but all the rates are the same (0.178) I like many other people for months did not realise it was the same rate all day, we were washing at night, running the pool pump more at night all for nothing.

The problem I see with 3 rates is when you use most ie early evening cooking lights on tv on, air con or heating it is expensive.

There's info about changing over to the 3 rates on Aydem's FAQ page.
