I was shocked to receive liver and onions when I ordered liver and onions at Sardunya. Liver, raw thinly sliced onions beside it. Nothing else. I've never seen anything like it. But the liver was absolutely fantastic  :)

Sometime you literally get what you order in restaurants. We once ordered a tomato salad in Greece and got a plate of ... sliced tomatoes.

oh yes Keith, agreed.  I've never tasted liver like it, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

My husband also loved the liver and onions at this place which is why we returned 4 times in two weeks last year.  As I said before, it's a shame that some places change so much from year to year. This year was a bad experience and we would not return.

Yes Jacqui, I assume it was a bad experience as you have told us about six times (three negative comments about the restaurant in this topic alone). Maybe you won't return but maybe it's also time to let it go and move on?

We've been there many times and to his original place which used to be  by the Dolphin roundabout and have always had good food and service. It is worth noting, and I guess most people realise by now, that what is on the menu is exactly what you get, chips, rice salad etc. you will need to ask for. ;)

Though Ive lived here for a while Ive never tried this place, I will give it a go this week I think, its the no chips rice etc that does it for me. Im sick of Calis restaurants that insist on putting these on your plate even though Ive requested them not to. I prefer a nice Turkish mixed salad with my food.
Anyway will definately give the liver a try I love liver in Turkey :)
