Just been on sky news that kiss flights have ceased trading-how many more i wonder

Bummer!!! only on 12th August did someone post ( {A Link to an old CBF topic was here - no longer available}37041 ) that this airline was going from Bournemouth and now 5 days later they have "flown the nest" oh well Gatwick here we come again.

Every one that goes to the wall leaves a firmer grip for the likes of FTC - each and every airline that goes bust is a total disaster for all of us, whether we used or would use them or not.

Totally agree Keith. Prices already sky high and this won't help.

The kiss flights from bournemouth to dalaman  2011 were i understand to be thursday flights . The thompson flights on mondays/ fridays to dalaman from may 2011  are priced @ £140 more each:-\   that the kiss flights  were advertised ,,
this would have saved hard earned money, and  saved many locals in the south coast area  the travel up to bristol or gatwick .[ including us ]
 
 8)Good news out this morning is that, Thomas Cook have a friday flight going out for the first time next year june 2011 prices around £125 cheaper than thompsons @ £228 return in june for e g

I was due to fly out with Saga airlines, so was affected by this.  Luckily I have managed to get flights on the same dates flying with Thomas Cook.

Had very lucky escape last night,so close to booking kiss flight, flying out of Bournemouth on Tue 14 Sept, Oyken hotel had no vacancies till the 16th so was waiting for e-mail from Delta hotel to stay there 14 - 16th. got fed up so went to bed, thinking I Would book to-night.
P.S Kiss base line price of £418 including taxes, return for two, shot up to £550 if you actualy wanted to board the plane with your partner with a bag !![!] Bag fees, seat fees, booking fees,card fees,
sit together fees, air on flight fees ect.ect

Not a lucky escape for us.Only the other day I posted a topic about Saga Airline changing our flight times. Now they have ceased trading.
Over 60000 of us have booked with them What a friggin nightmare.

I have been effected by this and received a text message last night saying my flight next week has been cancelled!
Gutted! Unsure whether I am going to be able to afford another ridiculously priced flight, anybody seen any slightly decent deals recently?
