Hi We'vre arrived in Calis this morning.
at the sunset beach club. Its a lovely place and we've really enjoyed our first day.Although it can cost as much as £10 for a lump of processed cheese from the shop.
the man from the Health spa showed us around and it looks great, i think we'll be booking that
We walked in to Calis this evening and had a (mediocre) meal at a restaurant called "SunSet" (i think it was called that - it was on the front) the location was great though the actual sunset was beautiful.
Trying to contact jerry boat to book him up for the day.
We are also planning on following.
Calis market on Sunday
Fethiye market
and Olu deniz

I wanted to ask about the waterpark - i believe it is situated in Calis somewhere, can anyone give us a quick rundown on what it's like (is it any good - we've got 2 seven year olds to entertain!)

thanks a lot

Looking forward to a few more days of sunshine.

We had 2 nine year olds to entertain and they loved the aquapark. It was my first time there but not theirs and I was surprised at how it was a lot more than pools and water slides - there was entertainment (dances etc) regularly through the day and various happy hours which help keep the costs down - ice cream, beer, soft drinks etc. The staff were all very good fun and look to see where they can make a kid smile.

It's not big by any means but I was very impressed with it and for some reason I went there thinking I would not be impressed at all.

I was told there is a restaurant along the front that offers free tickets for the children to go to Calis Aqua-Park providing you eat in their restaurant. The couple were given the impression that there was some kind of tie-up between the Aqua-Park and the Restaurant. It might have been just a short-term promotion. This family took up the offer and enjoyed the saving and, as it seems, their meal also. Perhaps other contributors on the Forum might know if this offer is still currentand might know the Restaurant in question.

Yes apparently the Calis Beach restaurant on the seafront give a free ticket/free tickets if you eat there. The owner is the brother of the aquapark owner (or something like that!).

Five 17 year old girls loved it - went for the whole day and had a brilliant time.  (Think one of the owners also has something to do with the Loft Bar in Hisaranou - because the girls walked in their the day after and met the same guy who gave them all  free drinks.  (Wish I was 17 again......)

Iain,

My son Gavos999 off the forum and his son Benjamin (6) went for the day when they were over a few weeks ago, they had a great day and really enjoyed it.

Its costs 25YTL for an adult and 15YTL for children 5-14 years, Calis Beach Restaurant on the front do still as far as I know give fre tickets of you eat a main meal there, and yes he is the brother of the Aqua Park owner, I am sure that if you have bought 2 drinks you get one or some free as well in there.

If you walk along the prom from where you are until you reach the new seating area and ER OZ is infront of you, turn left, go over the bridge and up the road turn right at the traffic lights and its just up on the right after the 'Orient'Hotel....you cant miss it.....

Is Gav "off the forum" then? I thought he was on it :D

It's worth pointing out that if you are going as a non-participating adult you don't have to pay 25 lira, tell them and you will be charged 5 lira.

Glad you are back on as opposed to 'off' the forum Gavos.....      Ha ha....Keith...:D

Thats worth knowing actually if you are a 'NON' participating adult the cost drops to 5YTL...that would be me...dont like aqua parks....but then I would have to qualify as an adult...eeemmm?:D
