Places You Should Visit - Iztuzu Beach, Dalyan

When you holiday in Calis and Fethiye, you are half an hour (well 45 minutes maybe  8) ) from an amazing beach - Iztuzu Beach near Dalyan. In some ways it beats Olu Deniz Beach hands down. It's so close you should make a point to go  :)

Here is a photo of me working hard there:

Amazing fine sand and the sea gets deeper at a rate of 1" per mile  ;) - absolutely perfect for kids.

Its great in the Winter too.  No worries about disturbing the turtles and the dogs can run for miles with no-one there.

Is that the beach they take you to when you go down the Dalyan, river past all the rock tombs? If it is I can second your description Keith.

It is Stoop but I think this is the opposite end of that beach. I've never been on the rock tombs boat trip so not entirely sure.

Frequent dolmus service from Dalyan dolmus station, takes about 30 minutes if I remember correctly. A pleasant trip through the countryside.

That explains the shallow sea comment as the water at the river entrance end gets deeper
with strong currents but as you say it is an amazing beach.
