Firstly a house at a sensible price ( not possible in the UK since 1999 where I want to live)
Secondly seeing young children happy with simple pleasures - not demanding this , that, and the other

Eggs that have flavour, a friendly greeting or offer of help even if there is no profit to be had and I agree with the public transport.

Being able to pick fresh figs, pears and peaches from your neighbours trees without being chased.
The interest on my money in the bank.....much better than the 30 pence a year at Barclays!

My kids insist that there is no rice in the UK that comes close to the Turkish rice served in lokantas  :)

being able to stop on the Uzumlu road and fill up on free mineral water straight from the mountains....

The fruit and veg (nothing will ever come close to a Turkish tomato)
Eggs with chicken poo still on the shell ! (fresh fresh fresh !)
Bread and honey

Tailoring service - altered while you wait

nothing is too much trouble - service with a smile, much better than my local tesco

..Day to day, The bread and fresh veggies and SMILING people.
Healthwise being able to get that MRI scan or see the heart consultant NOW
being reminded how resourceful humans can be and that consumerism is over rated.
The amazing fertility of the land.
The kindness shown to travellers and children.
Being able to really see the stars at night.

nowhere in the world is perfect but it is good to look at your world and find joy in something each day however small.
