Hello to everyone.  We are new to the forum and are researching areas to live in Turkey.  We recently returned from a holiday with friends in Tuzla, Bodrum but have always favoured the Fethiye area.  We think Uzumla may be the perfect place to set down roots.  Seems like a wonderful community with authentic Turkish culture, not to mention beautiful scenery.  We hope to visit February / March 2011 an are so looking forward to it.  Cheerio for now x

Uzumlu is certainly very, very picturesque, but maybe a little bit remote for some, but, opinions  differ of course. Each to his/her own.

Another warm welcome, the forum really helped me with great advice and I ended buying an apartment in Ovacik, a place we really like because of its location in the mountains, near the beach and Fethyie. We go over as often as we can and are visiting again in November, a time of the year we love.

we too are new in uzumlu -great choice - and no close down at end of season like so many places!
