Just read this in the guardian online:

"A similar anomaly arises when comparing the price of a holiday to Turkey to a holiday to Egypt. Turkey falls into Band A, while Egypt is classed as Band B. This means a family of four travelling in economy class to Turkey will pay £48 APD compared with £240 APD for the same family to travel to Egypt - an increase of £192 in tax alone."

Also this seems promising in the mail online:

What happens if I already have a flight booked? Will I be charged extra?

You already have been. If you are flying after November 1, the extra tax will have already been added on to your bill.

'As far as your mis-guided loyalty goes, firo, just who will your paymasters rip-off once they have raped the country like that other bitch did? All that will be left with anything worth pinching will be their own kind = YOU!!!! Do the Math, you & your ilk will be the only people left with anything, except, just maybe, a CONSCIENCE!!'

Really over the top and rude especially as the clown has never, as far as I know, met Firo.  Surprised no moderator commented on it.

Oh, yes, Des, Winston Churchill, Quote; "another great conservative".
This was the very same guy who "crossed the floor of the house" to take up position with the opposition whenever it suited him. The same guy, who, as Home Secretary under LIBERAL leader Sir Herbert Asquith, orered British troops to open fire on striking miners in the Welsh village of Tonypandy, killing 2 & wounding many more, thus creating a further riot.

STOOP; wars that cost so much??:

The same guy who, as 1st Lord of the Admiralty, did NOT feel that Germany could be defeated in France, so, decided to launch a campaign in Turkey, in 1915, ordering the ill-fated invasion of Gallipoli, which was an utter disaster, resulting in the deaths of over 392,000 soldiers. The very same guy who was rather keen to use poison gas against tribes rebelling against British rule in the former Ottoman Empire. Defended the brutal tactics of the Paramilitary. "Black & Tans" Police Force in Ireland.  Ad Infinitum!!

If that is your opinion of greatness, my friends, so sad.
Gordy.
I rest my case!!

Gordon your statistics are fine, but the point i and other people are making is your personal and rudeness comments. Capitals is shouting at people, everyone has their own opinions and beleifs ln politics and other topics, yes i am a conservative, but to say you hate me when you have never met me i find quite insulting. CBF is a great forum for discussion and a good bit of banter and humour. so lets get back to good old fashioned chat eh,Regards your friend Des.:D:D

Back on topic  booked with easyjet last week for april no mention of tax incresess so read there T's and C's and thought that this might be of use

Any taxes or charges imposed by Government or other authority, including the operator of an airport, which we are obliged to collect from you or pay in respect of you and your Flight may be payable by you to us in addition to the Fare. At the time you make a reservation you will be advised of the total amount of such taxes and charges not included in the Fare and payable by you. Such taxes and charges imposed on air travel are constantly changing and can be imposed after the date that your reservation has been confirmed. If any such tax or charge is introduced or increased after the reservation was made you will be obliged to pay it prior to departure. Failure to make payment may affect your ability to fly with us. You authorise us to deduct such charges from the credit card or debit card used to make your booking. Similarly, if any such tax or charge due is abolished or reduced before we are obliged to pay it you will be entitled to claim a refund from us

got a good deal so not to botherd about an increase as long as its in the 10's of pounds not the hundreds
