thanks for all the good wishes. Elsa is stable though she seems to have forgotten the layout of my apartment so plays "doggie pinball" bouncing off walls etc . Not sure if she has any brain damage after her ordeal ( she had a couple of fits on her return & mayw well have had several whilst she was away ) so will keep a close eye on her. Sad to say I may not leave her this way too much longer but she will let me know when she has had enough. At the moment she is eating well.

Sad to say that Elsa is nearing the end - she appears to be going down hill so I am considering getting her put down within the next day or so asI dont want her to suffer . Unfortunately I cannot bury her where I live ( communal apartments & the neighbours would not accept it ) & the vet has said he cannot take her body. What does one do ,in these circumstances ? I want her to be put to sleep at home as I dont want her to be afraid or made uncomfortable by a car journey but how/ where can I then lay her to rest where she wont be disturbed ? Any advice gratefully recieved

Hi Christine, so sorry to hear the news about Elsa.  You must be devastated, but at least you got her back to make the decision.  We sadly lost our golden retriever in March 2009.  Our vet organised with the Animal Shelter on the Uzumlu road that for a donation Bramble could be buried up there.  Might be worth checking with your vet to see if this is an option. Thinking about you.

Hi Chris,
So very sorry to hear of Elsa decline.
There have been a few dogs that have been buried up at the center and June is right its lovely up there,
The only problem is that they are only around for cleaning and feeding over the next four days due to Bayram holiday.
We would need to check with Emray the vet for the center as he speaks good english.
If we can help and its not to late please contact us and we will help sort things out for you
regards
Terrie
