Plane spotting

News reports today about the march against the possible closure of RAF Lossiemouth, included a quote from Ewan McGregor whose brother used to be stationed at the base as follows "I had the privilege to fly from RAF Lossiemouth in the back of a Tornado piloted by my brother Colin".

Does anyone know anything about that flight.

I think Ewan McGregor and his brother Colin both know about that flight. I'm not completely sure though.

Thanks KKOB. I was aware of the BofB documentary but is the flight in the Tornado directly related to it[?].

Hang on a cotton pickin minute here :o.

As I said in my first post I knew about the flight what I'm trying to find out is what was the purpose of it or was it in fact just a jaunt.

PS  :) - thought perhaps I should add that

Probably just a bloody jaunt. Albeit at the Tax Payer's expense. :D

You know the kind of thing. When I got my 1st new 7.5 tonner I threw my brother in the back and took him for a ride. Ewan's bro did the same with him in his Tornado. ;) 8) ;)

H, it was fully covered on S.T.V. news when it happened.  I know you are in a social whirl meeting stars such as Alex (who ate all the pies) Salmond, so you probably did not see it.:D
As a housewife chained to the kitchen sink. I am usually cooking dinner when S.T.V. news is on, so am a mine of information about Scottish news ;)

Aye right Jacqui :) - but what did it say about the flight. Was it just a jaunt at the taxpayer's expense.[?]

Can't remember "H" however, have a memory of Ewen and brother being on a programme made by the Beeb where they were flying together, so maybe the Beeb paid and STV showed a clip?
