Brian,The Rhodes trip is available all winter on a one day a week basis. (Fridays)Departing time Fethiye is 08.30.Return time is brought forward 1 hour from Rhodes,ie 15.30,instead of 16.30.Minimum passenger levels for this is set at 30.If you are going for a visa and have left it until the last minute, and weather means it is cancelled, they will advise you on the previous day and you have the option of a coach ride to marmaris and they then take you on that ferry.Hope this helps.J

Friends of ours went to Rhodes in early October. They were told that the season runs from April to End of October, when most businesses particularly in the old town close down,I suppose mainly because the old town is a magnet for the cruise ships. ;)

I have a friend who has a bar, restaurant in the Old Town.....he has told me almost nothing will be open in the Old Town but the New Town will be open ..... in the New Town most of the shops/bars,restaurants are "all the year round open".

As long as the big Spar and the Lidl opposite are open, that's all that matters (if you live in Turkey).

My wife tells me a place called the Honda centre is of interest due to a fantastic range of toiletries, always of interest to ladies, plus M&S are open,Bodyshop, lots of fashion shops etc plus two supermarkets, one with four floors of merchandise,so I would think its worth the winter trip.
Also for Visa runs,it is now more convenient to leave fethiye at 0830 for a 90minute trip than going to meise, which after pickups is slightly longer and with waiting time at kas, plus 40 minutes passage time,Rhodes is a more attractive proposition What do others think?

I think if Sephora was open and I was in Calis/Fethiye I would be there in a flash.

You also need to plan your day as time is tight and while trips to M&S and BHS etc are well worth the effort, Rhodes respects "siesta time" and will close in the early afternoon, so get to them early (or late). The supermarkets are just out of town and don't close.

I thought that if you held a British passport that you had to pay in sterling no matter where your point of entry to Turkey.
