I can't believe I am typing this, but I am, in fairness I've had an evening on the full fat Ovaltine...

I didn't know there was any such hotel itinerary for a Lycian way walk - I'd be up for a Calvin inspired Lycian Way trek if there are other CBFers to go for it? I can travel at 400 metres a day if the votka is good! Seriously, if there are enough of us on here who fancy it,  it would be a blast of our lifetimes!

The freinds of mine that did the walk, did 17th april to 1st may in 2009 which covered Ovacik to Kas .Then last year they did the second leg which was Kas to Elmayani, this second part was done 28th April to the 15th May 2010.The walks were organised by The Cotswold Walking Company ,they organised all transfers from airport also transfer of luggage from hotel to hotel. As I said before I have copy of itinary with mileage per day also hotel telephone numbers ,as it runs to twenty pages ,it would with my one finger typing take forever to post on forum .Perhaps someone could scan the documents for me and forward to anyone interested ,for a small donation to the Dolphin Charity???? :)

It's about 500km.

This company arrange holidays along it if you want to stay in hotels on the way.

Thanks Calvin we'll settle for the latter to save you the hassle and cost of posting, I'll contact you nearer the time, thanks again.

To answer some other questions there is lots of accommodation along the route hotels, pensions, village houses etc., there are certain sections where you have to camp (unless you organise yourself differently, I guess). I intend to camp quite a bit, through choice (and budget).

It's 510 Km (320 miles), and graded medium to hard, it is classed by The Sunday Times as one of the top 10 walks in the World.

I intend to do it in 26/30 days, as I want to savour the experience.

Being an avid long distance  walker this has been a dream of mine for a while, I have the book and maps for the walk. So watch this space.
