Price for the extra 5kg changed overnight from £7.50 to £35.00! makes you wonder if it was a mistake to start with and they realised and increased the price!

My husband and I have just returned from the UK and one case was 2 kilos over.  We were charged £16.00.  If you're going to book an extra 5 kilos at £35.00 then make sure you use them as 4 kilos would cost £32.00.

I was charged £18 a couple of years back for being 2kg over on 4x baggage allowance of 20kg. In other words, for the four of us we were on average 500 grams over each.

What I always think when getting charged for excess baggage is, if I had to give the various airlines £9 a kilo for every kg I/we have been over in the past and not been charged I would owe them thousands  :) They can have their measly £18, I'm still winning by miles so :P to them all :D
