We always use flythomascook, We do have much less choice from Scotland.

We have never had a serious problem with them. One thing did slightly annoy us last year. We booked meals at £ 12 each only to find you could buy a ready meal on the plane. Probably the same medium quality.

Hi Highlander,

The whole "extra's" charges that most of the airlines seem to charge annoy me, why can't they just say up front how much they want in total.  Okay not everyone might want the meals (wouldn't bother myself but for the bundle thomas cook do), or are bothered about sitting together but the bit that really winds me up is the charge for luggage in the hold, I for one could not go on 2 weeks holiday with just 5kgs of hand luggage!!

I agree Diane, but what really annoys me is the difference in basic flight prices between England and Scotland.

If slikmrs doesn't mind, here's a comparison

Manchester - Dalaman Return June 17 = 331.96
Glasgow    - Dalaman Return June 17 = 671.96.

WHY

I got an email from Flybe telling me that they were having a promotion and there were hundreds of free flights. Indeed, I found great flights for the four of us to Belfast. £0.00 return.

Plus taxes.

Ended up £140 more than Easyjet :-\

I totally agree, that's ridiculous if not scandalous!!
How can going from Scotland be double the price than going from Manchester, unless my geography is worse than I thought it's not double the distance!!
Now I understand why people make the long car journey to Manchester airport from Scotland, but it is disgusting that they have to.
