Sadly he couldn't make it. He did threaten to come and sort out someone or other from CBF (usually me) on a regular basis, but we to this day have never set eyes on him!

Looking at the pictures it came as a total shock to me that I was there !! My poor old stepfather shown on a couple of those pics is no longer with us and of course, the legend that was Ronnie Lock from the Ernur has also gone. Sweet and sad memories.

Hi Folks,
Many thanks for the kind/unkind comments. lol Glad to report that thanks to the good old NHS the old codger is still alive and kicking at 76 after major surgery to sort my innards out which was quickly followed by yet another heart attack and other nasty things.
Yes Tinx, still living on Portland although my overseas traveling days are now somewhat restricted since no one seems to want to insure me any more except for a horrendous premium.
I still read up on the forum from time to time seething with envy at all you folks out there in the sun, but I had my share and still have loads of nice pics and even nicer memories.
Best wishes to all who might remember me
Roy
Words of wisdom from one who has been there, read the book, seen the film and got the tee shirt : Whatever you are enjoying  enjoy it to the full while you can.

Like you most certainly did Roy:

A few other famous faces in there too  :) - this was the charity CBF night we had at the Coelya, possibly in 2005 :D

Hey up Roy!!! Nice to hear from you again. Maggie often mentions the lift you gave us to Koca Calis in the big yellow Merc.

Keep well and keep posting  :)
