Someone said the new visas are coming in on the 21st May, But this is only hearsay. There has been nothing official yet. No doubt some wag will inform us that they read it somewhere or their friends sisters gardeners cousin, has said it is gospel.

Eric was in a Bar here in Bulgaria talking to a Russian who said that his friend who is in Egypt had said that the new visa for Turkey for the Brits was starting on the 20th.....

What annoys me is that there has been nothing official released so where the hell did your "someone" get the 21st?.....Urban Myth rumors yet again.

Let's try not to start new ones (rumors) and just all wait till it's officially announced.[?]

Firo, Someone told me last time I was over in Meis, and I also read it on TLF. However, I am like you and take it with a pinch of salt, until there is something official.

It will probably be a new episode featuring a half baked, illogical and badly thought through system, which will be released too early in some areas by mistake but not released in others at all, which will lead to the details of the new visa system being pulled to pieces on forums like this one, pointing out the many ways in which it simply won't work, ending up with someone saying that it was released prematurely in error and due to logistical restrictions will now not be implemented at all.

Am I close?

Breaking news!!!
The new system will come in on 01/04/2011 but will be on trial till midday. Only British citizens from the south will be affected by this new ruling and all Liverpool and man utd fans.
