The top resort area in Turkey in terms of number of tourists and revenue earned, other than Istanbul, is Antalya and its coastline. In this and their previous poll Didim Today ignores this. Why? Too inconvenient a fact?

I suppose someone who rates Altinkum in their "top 5" would naturally have to also have Marmaris in there. I might have Calis in my top 5, although I wouldn't put it in any list where the top 5 is based on any factual evidence - I like it but I can't say it is in the top 5 of Turkey's busiest, most exclusive, most popular, best beaches etc - but then I'm honest enough to say that, and not to claim it and back it up with glowing opinions of places like Marmaris. Marmaris has probably done more harm to Turkish tourism than any other coastal resort - I'm sick of reading about (and meeting) people who tell me they tried Turkey once, Marmaris, and never again.
