Can someone please give me a name and address of an easy to find hotel in Calis for a transfer drop off point.

Easiest to find must be the Orient (the old Aries) just next to where the roundabout isn't anymore!

A better idea, tell us where you ultimately need to get to and we can tell you a hotel close to be dropped at

The airline transfers will drop to a hotel in Calis as their transfers are very reasonable, they need the name and the address of such hotel before they accept the booking - this is for friends, as the transfer company does not come to Uzumlu, we will then collect them from the hotel and bring them up to this lovely village to start their holiday!

The Pelin probably a good one then.....actually sited on the main road so easy for all to find.

I'd say perhaps the Koc Sun which is on the right of the main road (Baris Manco Bulvari) that starts as the turn from Gunlukbasi towards Calis and ends at the bridge/prom. From Uzumlu you wouldn't have to venture into Calis at all - and it's not really a hotel you would miss

Good idea as the Koc Sun is great place to meet and no one can miss the name of that place.
When my daughter paid her first visit to Calis we were driving her to the seafront and she was sitting in the back of the car. I said to her," this is the Koc Sun". A motor bike passed us at that moment and she heard Koc but totally misheard Sun and thought I had said something else. $:-\$ We had such a laugh. Since then Hotel has been renamed by our family.

Two other favourites you'd hear people talking about again and again are the bus company Kamil Koc and does anyone remember the huge Arcelik sign at the corner of the harbour? The number of times I've seen Brits taking a photo of that, can't think why they would want a photo of a white goods manufacturer's advert
