The girls were not too impressed with us saying we were going to Venice for a long weekend and that they would be going to their gran's. I explained that I went to Venice with the school and as a kid I found it boring. I told them they wouldn't enjoy looking at old houses and smelly canals. " We would, we would" they protested. "We love places like that, we will find it interesting too". They couldn't be told otherwise. So, I decided that making Venice sound boring wasn't working. "OK then, if you really think you'd love Venice, I'd let you come too". (Cheers). "Ah, I've had another idea" I said. "Which would you choose - we all go to Venice, or me and mum go to Venice and when we get back we'll go to that theme park for the day?".
"THEME PARK!!!"
