I knew the Ghanains would come to make a match of it, so it was pleasing to see the England players taking it seriously as well.  As expected some great and colourful support from the Ghana supporters.  So all in in all a good game of football to watch.  we could do with more mid week international friendlies like this :)

Yes Pete, we can play some good football when there is absolutely nothing riding on the outcome. It's when it matters we can't string two passes together, which might be a problem when it comes to winning World Cups.

Sad to say Keith, but you are right of course.  After so many years of watching England's finest, my experience tells me so.  However, to paraphrase  Antonio Gramsci - a fellow Italian of our great manager - I am by nature a pessimist, but by sheer force of will I make myself an optomist, and that particularly applies to my football ;)
