The Press Association reports that Tory cabinet member Oliver Letwin, who has a key role co-ordinating coalition policy across the Government, told the Mayor [Boris Johnson] he did not want "more families in Sheffield able to afford cheap holidays". Surely he meant anybody from Yorkshire?

It really is time that people realised and accepted that a Tory government really is the country asking to be represented by a small group of people who have absolutely no comprehension of the actual lives they lead. You are poor and they are rich. They hate people like you.

Phew thank God it only refers to folk from south yorkshire! Us west yorkshire Tykes are ok to holiday in the 'foreign'! So glad,  I was about to look at self catering in Filey brigg and Bridlington as befits my Tyke status- but now we know!

Absolutely cavfan - those of us in west yorkshire know we are a completely different set of tykes to those in any other part of Yorkshire!!    Still getting the bags packed for Calis in 4 weeks and 4 days time!

It is not the Tories that I blame. We all know they are a bunch of rich boys who have no ideaor never will know what it is like to live on the old age pension. What sticks in my craw is the Liberal Democrats. These have turned out to be more Tory than the Tories. I just hope that they get wiped out next month.
