The biggest difference I have noticed on returning from living in Turkey to England is the way women are more visible in the workplace.
Delivery drivers, bus driver, post ladies, vets, cafe owners, police women, shop owners and lots of other jobs that I found hardly any women in Turkey did.I think that banking is one area in Turkey that women are coming into their own though,a lot of smart girls work in the various banks.

On the subject of women in the workplace, one of the most strange differences I had to get used to was when a secretary or similar came for an interview, her husband would attend too. In fact, the husband often did all the talking.
