No not really, these people all look forward to death and receiving the glorious reception thereafter, but when it comes to it none of them actually want to die for the cause. They want to find others to convince that they should die for the cause. The leaders dying might just reduce the number of people wanting to take their place...

I am a little uneasy about "enhanced" interrogation techniques, the reports now that Bin Laden's wife was "shot in the leg but not killed" but subsequently died, and that Bin Laden himself was unarmed.

I am a damn sight more than uneasy about this. Torture is a disgusting criminal activity, internationally proscribed and the fact that our governments (NL and ConLib) turn a blind eye, or even assist in its processes, shames our nation.

I saw Dick Cheyney claim credit for the enhanced techniques used under the Bush administration that he claims led to the operation that killed Bin Laden.

These "techniques" were banned and outlawed by Barack Obama when he became President and from all the reports I have seen it seems unlikely that anyone detained ten years ago could or would have knowledge of his current location. In fact quite the reverse - it is far more likely that mis information was generated by these methods.

The latest Press statement by the White House says that Bin Laden was unarmed but offered resistence and that one of Bin Ladens wives was shot in the leg but not killed when she rushed the Navy Seals.

Thet also said there were several people shot and killed including a woman during the fire fight.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of this particular operation and the merits or otherwise of capturing him alive for trial I personally have great respect for the Obama administration and their honesty about the fact that Bin Laden was unarmed and the amount of information that has been disclosed to the public.

I couldn't care less if he was unarmed, offered resistance or didn't, how many people were killed with him, wives or otherwise. They were living in quite a dangerous house, what with one of the others sharing the place being the most wanted man on the planet. Did he care about the 3,000 innocent people caught up in his WTC plan? People should get real, who cares about the people around him. Certainly not me.
