for any one flying soon (myself included hopefully!)there has been a different volcano to the last one in Iceland erupt, Iceland airspace is shut and they recon the ash/dust will hit Europe around Tuesday Wednesday.they also said they did not expect the same level of disruptuion as before but they did not say no disruption is expected, I shall be keeping my eye on the news and checking airports on line to see whether there is much disruption:(

at the moment the ash cloud is heading north over Greenland unless or until the wind changes direction; so no disruption yet over Europe...

oh great - its the largest eruption for 64 years and was so large it could be seen in space.

Its a big mushroom cloud, 20 kilometres high and they are saying it could reach Scotland by Tuesday!

However they are also saying they don't expect it to cause anything like the disruption as last year

what a pain cant believe it has happened again, we will just have to wait and see,the news tonight says it depends on which way the wind blows, how long it erupts for and the size of the particles it sends up as to how much aviation will be effected, but they dont think it will be like the disruption of last year when the other one erupted:(
