Just who ARE the "Mad Cows"
« on: June 12, 2011, 18:32:57 PM »

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the last mad cow epidemic, our government could track a single cow, born in Appleby almost three years before, right to the stall where she slept in the county of Cumbria?  And, they even tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 350,000 illegal immigrants wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow. : :)

Yes, but every time the subject of identity cards comes up all the civil liberties groups are out in force. Too much big brother watching over us. It is because of big brother that animals can be tracked so well. What I can never understand is why there is so much opposition to it. After all it is only a card that could be used not just for identity but to record critical information that may save a life in the event of an accident. blood group, whether the person has some condition like diabetes or is allergic to some medicines.
