Hi Everyone - We are Keith and Lucy.  We have 3 children, Alex (6), Joe (3) and Sophie (18mths).  We are looking to buy in the Fethiye area - ideally Ovacik.  We recently visited to look round the area and are planning to return in a couple of weeks time.  We're currently scouring the internet looking at property and will hopefully set up some appointments with local Agents. We've got our flights sorted - departing 20th March and returning on the 27th - based on advice on the site we used Phileas Fogg and got flights for £149 all in (which I think was good?)  We haven't got anywhere to stay yet, although I have just begun contacting various renters.  Not sure if we'd be better getting hotel rooms (although with 3 young children this can be challenging at the best of times!) or staying in apartment/villa - any suggestions would be welcome.  How is the weather typically at end of March?  Most pools seem to be shut so I'm guessing it hasn't warmed up enough by then.  Do you think the beaches will be warm enough to visit?

Anyway, looking forward to going back to Fethiye soon and hopefully making some new friends.

Hi Keith and Lucy,

Similar to yourselves, last August we scoured the web prior to 'taking the plunge'.

Our intensive research culminated in contacting Lagoon Estates.

We are now in the process of finalising the offplan property of our choice; we are looking forward to the completion and are EXTREMELY happy with our decisions.

Good fortune in your venture

Regards

Bob

Hi Keith and Lucy, Welcome to the forum.

We purchased an apartment in Ovacik recently with Orka and we're off to furnish it beginning of April!  We're very pleased with our purchase and have no regrets whatsoever, apart from we should have done it a long time ago.

The best of luck with your search and we hope you find your place in the sun as we did.

Best wishes

lindi & Colin  :)

Hi Keith & Lucy,
We went over a year ago and bought our villa, we had a fab time and can't wait till May when we can finally go stay there.... We bought in Calis as it had its own beach and has some bars etc open in winter.  Enjoy your trip and good luck finding your dream house, you'll know when you've found the one!!!
If you are still looking for somewhere to stay, email me and i can send you details of our villa.
Take Care
Emma

Hi everyone

Thanks for the replies. Just to let you know that our trip over to Calis last week was a great success and we have now put down a deposit for a villa on the Efes complex about 800m from main beachfront.  A big thank you to Heidi, Keith, Esra and all the team for all their help last week (ranging from babysitting to massages!)

As well as getting our villa, we had a great holiday and our kids are already looking forward to returning soon (particularly to the Orient restaurant which they loved).

We're now hoping to get over at May half-term to start furnishing villa and are scouring the forum for suitable advice.

Keith, Lucy & kids
