The best barber in town
« on: July 24, 2011, 18:14:32 PM »
Being of a certain vintage (49½), I do not generally indulge myself with anything that could be described as pampering. However, I feel that it is my cultural duty to go for at least one haircut/shave when I holiday in Turkey. After all it's not my fault if I get an unrequested head neck shoulder and arm massage as part of the service. And if the barget cracks my knuckles and burns the bum fluff off my cheeks and ears - is that my fault? Can anyone suggest where I can get the full service at the right price/

Thanks Eric - I may well drop by on my way to visit Cadianda. When I was last in Uzumlu some 15 years ago there was just one open shop. Lovely town square and we drove along a road that petered out at the end of town near a heavily laden Pomegranate tree.

Hope you enjoy the village when you come up.  Ramazan is almost opposite the Mosque in the square.  10 TL is for a haircut AND shave, plus the massage etc.

My husband usually gets his hair cut at Booty in Hisaronu. (he also gets a shave and massage) I go up there to get my nails done so he gets his haircut at the same time.  They have a few male hairdressers and my husband, after using lots of hairdressers in and around Fethiye says that Booty give the best haircut he has ever had, even puttng his U.K. hairdressers in this mix, and I have to agree with him.  He always says that when he gets a shave it's still as good the next day. They always do a great job.
