Adem showed us a picture on his phone of the twins, he was so proud.  Five lira seems to be the going rate for a shoe shine.
If you want to buy a bunch of flowers get one from the bald man with a moustache who comes around the restaurants in Calis.
I always buy flowers from him.  Any bunch in his basket is ten lira and there is always enough flowers to fill two vases in our place.  If you put a little bit of bleach in the water they will last longer and the water will not stagnate.
I must stay I always look forward to buying my Calis flowers as they are such a bargain compared to flowers in the U.K.

They are methods of feeding the flowers they don't stop the water going stagnent.  Most florists will add a little bleach to water to keep it clear and it Turkey the water stagnates very quickly.

While we were in Calis in July, we saw a wedding couple arrive outside B52. They got out of the car and started a stately parade towards the remer where they were having a reception.
Th flower seller(Think it was the bald guy) nipped over to the bride and presented her with a flower. How nice we thought. The flower seller waited expectantly for payment. The groom had no money. Somebody nearby by paid him. dont think he was part of the wedding party.
