Flights to Rhodes

Now I am a bit blonde but is there any reason why we can't book flights to Rhodes and come over for our two weeks into Turkey, returning back to Rhodes for our return flights?

Please help!!!

I think the cost would be prohibitive as it costs around 65 euros for the ferry from Rhodes to Fethiye and the journey time is about an hour and a half.

Trust me - flights plus ferry to Rhodes are far cheaper at the moment!  Can I do it?  Is there anything preventing us?

Nothing at all, you can buy your visa on arrival in Fethiye. If it's the cheapest option then go for it...

Yes it is possible.  Charter flights to Rhodes have always been cheaper than flights to Dalaman - let us know if you book and give us an idea of prices - there maybe others who are tempted.

We have considered this in the past, but the Rhodes Ferry only runs from 9.00am going to Rhodes from Fethiye and back at 4.30pm to Fethiye.  So the flights into Rhodes would have to be timed to get the ferry out, or there would be an overnight stay, plus the flight back would have to be in the afternoon or evening to match up with ferry times.   The other thing to consider is the ferry has been cancelled in the past due to bad weather and mechanical faults.  We have been to Rhodes from Fethiye to stay over for a couple of nights and going over we were the only people to be singled out and have our suitcase completely searched by the Customs, this was because everyone else on the ferry were day trippers with no cases.  I think the Customs must have been looking for something to do.
Good luck anyway and if you would like the name of a super hotel in Rhodes with uninterrupted views across the harbour (ideal for a honeymoon)let me know.

Does the ferry run every day?
We were hoping to arrive 10th September but at around £700 from Glasgow now we're holding off.
We could have a package deal elsewhere for less so this may be another option.

It depends which month you go to Rhodes Anne, high season they run more often than low.
Take a look at this for the months and days they run

There is also the Rhodes \ Marmaris hydrofoil which leaves in the morning. The bus ride to calis from Marmaris is not too bad...
