I dont think a petition is enough to stop these yobs, stop the benefits they will just again steal

Sad story that ive only just seen the conclusion to tonight

Bring back corporal punishment in schools I say. It never did anyone any harm, at least we respected our elders and learned empathy for others.

This website had so many signatures yesterday it kept crashing, apparently if there are over 100,000 signatures the Government will have to discuss this in parliment.
Scorcher... The site does work.

Plans are being drawn up by Ian Duncan Smith to withdraw benefits because over 100,000 people signed the petition so they have to act on it. Of course it doesn't mean it will be passed but shows the level of feeling.
Additionally Council leaders are talking about taking away council accomodation.
We'll see, but along with greater powers for police including the right to remove face coverings, its good to hear some tough talking.
Even consideration being given to changing some clauses in the Human Rights Act.

Strange as it may seem,  I personally, as a British Tax Payer don't want to pay tax to fund Benefits for scum not working, who accept handouts then go out to vandalise, steal, murder and take away the livelyhoods from honesty hardworking people.
:(
It seems that 90% of people in the U.K. agree with me after an on-line vote for the Daily Mail 90% want to stop the benefits of rioters and only 10% want to keep them.[^]

I'm sure the site is working JH but that's not quite what I meant ! Withdrawal of benefits and housing will only exacerbate the problem and cost us all more in the long run. However if you are happy to side with the signees and that beacon of reason ie. the Daily Mail so be it. Not the solution I'm afraid but who knows what is ?
