Fantastic to see a "legends of comedy" type programme on Ken Dodd last night.

On the environment..."churches in Liverpool have been lead free for years" - legend!

Many years ago when my daughters were young I took them to see Ken Dodd and the Diddymen live show.  Wasn't particular a fan of his at the time but thought the girls would like it.  I don't think I stopped laughing from the minute he stepped on stage until he finished the act, and it was a long act too.  He was so funny, but very careful not put in anything that would offend the children in the audience (or parents!).

Very funny, very clever man!  :)

You're right - he does finish late.  But if you want to know a time, ring the venue and explain you are being picked up and they will tell you the time he is due to finish.  In our case, it was 1am.....

I heard the police found loads of candles under his floorboards.
He was done for wax evasion.

Years ago we took the children to see Ken Dodd at a holiday resort theatre and he told hundreds of jokes,I just wonder how he remembers so many,I  have a job remembering one.
