atol claims / h4u and aegean
« on: September 22, 2011, 17:05:52 PM »
I have just submitted all of my claim forms for lost flights from Dalaman to Manchester two weeks ago, and return flights booked for next summer. Can anybody confirm if they have had their refunds from ATOL as yet?? and if so did it go through easily or was it a battle!! thanks...

Yes we've had full refunds for our Sept 2011 and May 2012 flights. I submitted my claims on the day their failure was announced and had settlement within 4 weeks.

I have been informed by Nationwide that my credit card outlay will be back in my account by my next statement.

Sue, I assume you mean claims via Atol and not for credit card payment?   We sent our claim through over a month ago, we had a letter acknowledging receipt and providing a claim reference number.  However nothing since, but then the letter did say they have thousands of claims to process and it could take some time. Not holding my breath, but I would be nice to get my £500.00 back at some stage :(

We have just had a letter from them - I obviously hadn't got the hang of the form correctly and they want one form per booking....this could take some time as we have five separate bookings with near enough 30 flights to claim!
