Turkish will
« on: September 23, 2011, 20:07:02 PM »
We will be back out in Turkey in October and have received a quote of about £550 for a Turkish will. Can anyone tell me if this is a resonable price to pay or point me in the direction of a cheaper solicitor.

Thanks.

Turkish will my foot they are taking the mickey
you have to remember the judge under turkish law will deal with it as turkish law dictates not english law so basicly its a waste of money becareful

remember that there is a lot of people that have lost their partner and found out the hard way dont be fooled

We tried to put our Turkish property on our Will in Scotland but our Solicitor told us that he could not do this and we would have to make a Turkish Will.  As we did not want to leave the property with no paperwork we did make wills, in Turkey you have to make two wills. We thought it better than nothing and we made it with Baris Consultancy in Fethiye.  It was nothing like £500.00. Don't know where that figure came from.

£500:-\

500TL would be more like it but this is the most recent topic you may find of interest about making a will and what happens...

We did ours in 2005 think it was around £200 and that included solicitor notary witnesseses and a pleasant lunch at cafe oley(as was) to celebrate the end of the paperwork! God knows if theyre worth it and hope we dont need to find out any time soon!

is the quote for 1 or 2 people? For 1 person the cost is around 600/650TL including translator fee and the notery costs.
