So you want my retrospective view then:D

Anyway I think my destination - indeed where we did go for the Present Mrs Tickets 50th - would be The Hotel Schutzen in Lauterbrunnen village in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland.  Some of the most beautiful views in the world.

Sit and enjoy a meal in the evening, fantastic views, watch the trains wend their way up the mountain, in both the daylight and in the dark.  Take a walk along the river, and onto the waterfall, nothing to hear but the sound of the water rushing along, and if you are lucky the odd cow bells and if you are particularly lucky the sound of the church bells ringing and echoing all along the valley,  Perfection. :) :)

The six guests

Mo Mowlem - cos she was great company, funny and knew her stuff
Pete Townshend - for music discussion (cripes the only one living on the list)
Dennis Potter - for any discussion
Bobby Moore - for football discussion
Tom Paine - for the politics debate
Arthur Miller/Shakespeare/Harold Pinter - anyone on any item

Well for my 50th I was in Calis with some of my best friends and my wife Maggie. We had a wonderful time and I can't think of anything different that would have made it better.

Well for my 50th my husband surprised me with a trip to New York.  Fantastic time, I loved NY. However, that's all in the dim and distant past and in a little over 3 months time I shall be 60!!  :o

The family has grown somewhat in those years and so I don't really mind where I celebrate it as long as I'm with my husband, two daughters and their husbands and my new grandson.   :)

As was Mrs H's last year, stoop ;). A fabulous night in Scarlett only marred by Murat shouting out as we left "Enjoy your party back home next week Brenda".

It was of course a surprise party which Brenda knew nothing about.

Fortunately, Murat had shouted on her deaf side and she did hear him.

I have the big 50 coming up next year and would be made up if I could spend it in Calis with my lovely hubby and possibly on the big day itself renew our wedding vows up at the Sundial, that's magic:D
