It's the Emperor's New Clothes if you ask me.  Take Martin Creed (who sounds just like Billy Connolly, but is not as talented) He won the Turner Prize for lights being switched on and off in a room.  His contribution just a podium (steps) in different colours that a child could have done.
I think they should have had a Nationwide Competition open to budding artists.  I bet there would have been some really GOOD pieces of Art.
