The idea of a strike is to bring the problem to the attention of this Government that Public Service workers will not tolerate being trampled all over in regards to their pension rights.I would find it extremely bizarre if any member told their head teacher/management or otherwise if they were going out on strike. It really does defeat the object when you give the employer the opportunity to make arrangement to cover the staffing levels in advance of industrial action.Nobody wants to strike & lose a days pay,but you can't have a gun held to your head every time this or any other govenment wants to reduce your income. I don't see them reducing Benefits for people who have never paid a single penny into the Btitish economy. This really would put billions back into our economy and perhaps the elderly, infirm & people suffering genuine hardship could benefit . I've always said & still firmly believe- "If you don't put any in, don't expect to take any out". But they do ,and how. I don't see any minister from any party with the b******s to say anything on this matter, let alone act on it.For now, rant over.
