Here's an item from Germany.
A man who tried to hold up a bank that had been closed for years has been jailed by a court in Germany. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16000340Reminds me of a news story from about 20 years ago. A crook set out to rob a jewellry shop improvised when he got there. He prised up a manhole cover in the pavement in order to throw it through the jeweller's plate glass window. Realizing he needed to build up some inertia to help him launch the big cover, he took two steps back . . .
. . . and fell down the manhole (where police found him trapped a few minutes later).
Gives you a nice warm feeling to begin the weekend doesn't it?
