Xmas Decorate your house, Or Not ?

Just looking down our street, we have lived here for 22 years and each year about 30% of the people who live here put up some form of decorative lighting on their house to celebrate Christmas, we being one of them. The other 70% seem almost entrenched in their position.

Do you? and if so, Why?

I do but with a very subtle christmas tree and white lights. Not the all singing and dancing American look-a-like houses

I do all the lights the snow the lot I just love it, the more lights the merrier, the looks on the faces of the children when they walk pass is worth every penny.............of next doors electric And as I am Father Christmas I have to make an effort at this time of year:D:D Merry Christmas to all CBFers

we do decorate the outside but last yesar the snow came too soon to be able to do anything ad this year, Nick wil be unable to clmb a ladder to do the outside due to an accident - Bah humbug. We do something outside as when our kids were younger we used to drive out and about to spot the christmas lights. Even now, and they are 22 and 19, they still discuss the christmas lights on various houses when they see some. Mostly we do it to miff the neighbours, but over the years as the oldies have been replaced by younger families we have found our little island of illumination growing by the year and now more and more families do something outside the house.

Yes we decorate the outside of the house with a variations of white lights ....unfortunately my husband is not able to it this year due to a minor operation  on his leg :(so I will have to make do with internal decoration this year I may have gone a bit over the top though 3 xmas trees in progress !!!!!

Not sure yet - 5 cats and 2 Dogs may be a bit dodgy!

I don't because I am going to Fethiye woohoo
