DON'T DO IT !

Having some friends and relatives over for Christmas, Chris decided that the first thing they will do is go and inspect the bathroom tiles and once they spot those couple in the shower where the grout has become a bit discoloured, well, the holiday will be ruined !

Obviously I under estimated the seriousness of the situation and was sent off to find a solution. In B&Q I came across this Unibond Grout Refresher, its like a toothpaste tube with one of those cherry blossom shoe cleaner sponges on the top. She set off applying this and all went well for 2 minutes until the sponge fell off, undeterred, she ploughed on with a  freestyle manual action. The instructions said, "leave to dry for 30 minutes and then wipe off any excess with a damp cloth" ....... DISASTER !

We have just spent 3 hours with a cloth, knife, scourer trying to get this stuff off the tiles, gloss paint would have been easier.

Be proud of your discoloured grout between the shower tiles. just like the moon and the stars, they have a right to be here .....
