Leaving your driving licence at home will now cost you a hefty 154TL if stopped by traffic police.
Not wearing a seatbelt will set you back 72TL.
Caught drinking and driving (1st offence) 650TL.
Going through a red light 154TL.
and parking in the wrong place 72TL. Also the same amount if driving with an expired MOT or using mobile phone or playing your radio/CD too loud!!!

Driving with no licence (not having passed a test) 319TL...the same fine goes to the person who let you drive their car.

Cor!!!! methinks the police will have a very busy time if this applies to ALL car drivers. :

AND their funds will be increased +++++++++++++++

What about overloading scooters with 3-4 or more passengers

is there any mention of the safety aspect there?? just a thought

What about trucks with no lights on at night doing 2mph up a hill and being over taken by another at 2Â½mph?
I think the people they should really crack down on are the dolmus drivers overloading their vehicles.
