With the rainy season here we were getting a bit pi--d of with the fact thato the house,when it was raining hard and the wind was strong, we would get a few drops into the house through the roof.

We were also getting a bit pi--d with our new next door neighbour who is rentingeing the house.
They often start moveing the furniture around a one in the morning.
We were going to complain today, BUT ...

We saw them open the front door and the water rushed outside over the 2.5 cm door lip.
Apparently this happens every time it rains.

Poor sods, not only contending with the flooding, but moan up all the time neighbours as well ;)

I read that as jackstee, despite having issues with his neighbours, was grateful that he didn't have thier problems and was counting his blessings

I read it that they were moving their furniture around because of the water flooding

Yes that's the way I read it too, which is why I was saying that Jackstee's neighbours were the Poor sods, not the other way round:D
